Refund Policy

We stand behind our work. This policy outlines how refunds are handled for paid services purchased through MyTakedown, a service of Arcate Labs LLC.
How Our Services Work
When you purchase a removal or reputation service, we begin working on your case immediately. Each case involves research, outreach, filing requests, follow-ups, and ongoing effort on your behalf. Because of this, refund eligibility depends on the stage and outcome of the work.
Refund Eligibility
Before work begins
If you request a cancellation before we have started work on your case, you are eligible for a full refund. Contact us as soon as possible at support@mytakedown.com.
After 60 days — partial refund for unsuccessful items
If, after 60 days from the start of your case, we have been unable to successfully remove or resolve specific items included in your service, you are eligible for a 50% refund on those specific line items.
This means:
- Refunds are calculated per item, not as a blanket refund on the entire service
- Items that were successfully removed or resolved are not eligible for a refund
- Items that are still in progress and showing forward movement may be extended rather than refunded, at your discretion
Examples
Example 1: You purchase removal from 5 platforms. After 60 days, 3 are successfully removed and 2 are not. You are eligible for a 50% refund on the cost attributed to those 2 unsuccessful items.
Example 2: You purchase a data broker removal package. After 60 days, all targeted brokers have been addressed. No refund is applicable.
Example 3: You request cancellation 2 days after purchase and before any work has been performed. You are eligible for a full refund.
What Is Not Refundable
- Scan reports and digital products — paid reports (e.g., Report+) are delivered instantly and are non-refundable once generated
- Completed work — items that were successfully removed or resolved
- Monitoring and subscription services — prorated based on time elapsed; unused time may be refunded
- Services where the client provided false or misleading information — if inaccurate information provided by you caused the removal to fail, a refund may not be granted
How to Request a Refund
- Email support@mytakedown.com with your case reference number and a description of what you'd like refunded
- We will review your case, confirm which items are eligible, and respond within 5 business days
- Approved refunds are processed to the original payment method within 10 business days
Disputes
If you disagree with a refund decision, we encourage you to reach out to us directly so we can work toward a fair resolution. We are committed to treating every customer fairly and transparently.
